Most people with marked vision defects believe that they are stuck wearing glasses or contact lenses for the rest of their lives. However, intraocular lenses can be a much less cumbersome solution. Implanted in the eye itself, they correct the vision in much the same way as external lenses. Some people even find that their vision is better with intraocular lenses than it was with their glasses or contacts.
