"It was a great idea to have us wear a contact lens for a week to see whether we’re comfortable with the suggestion (in my case, the idea was to prevent the onset of presbyopia, it was suggested to me that one eye be left with 0.5 myopia). Other clinics don’t do this, or if they do, it’s only for 15 minutes."

As for possible complications, I perhaps would have liked to have had more details.
